Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 July 2026 · Effective immediately
By using SPLIT ("the platform", hosted at get-split.com and offered as the SPLIT mobile app) you agree to these terms. Read them once — we keep them short.
1. What SPLIT does
SPLIT is a training platform for runners and endurance athletes. It aggregates activity data from third-party devices (Garmin, Polar, Suunto), generates training plans, and provides analysis tools. It is a software service, not medical advice.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account
- Provide accurate information when registering
- Keep your password safe — one account per person
- You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access
3. Free and premium tiers
SPLIT has two tiers:
- Free: full access to dashboard, feed, training plan execution, challenges, stats, gear tracking, all analytics
- Premium: adds AI Coach (self-hosted on our EU servers), challenge creation, custom chart builder, plan wizard. 14-day free trial included. The exact price is always shown before you confirm the purchase
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that continues until you cancel. The price is confirmed at purchase, payment is charged to your account on confirmation, and it renews for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
How to cancel: in the app (bought via Apple), manage or cancel in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions — cancellation there stops the next renewal. On the web (bought via Stripe), cancel from Settings → Billing. Either way you keep premium features until the end of the current period.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the platform beyond what our public API allows
- Upload other people's activity data without their consent
- Use SPLIT to harass, defame, or abuse others via challenges, feed, or direct messages
- Attempt to circumvent the premium paywall
- Operate bots, scrapers, or load-generators against our API
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules. Suspension decisions are reviewed within 7 days on request.
5. Your content
Activities, photos, comments, and plans you post remain yours. By posting them you grant SPLIT a non-exclusive licence to display them to users you've shared them with (e.g. friends you follow in the feed). We don't republish your content elsewhere.
6. Third-party devices
SPLIT depends on Garmin, Polar, Suunto, and other third-party platforms. When their APIs change or go down, sync may temporarily fail. We monitor status but can't guarantee 100% uptime of integrations we don't control. You can always manually log activities via the Record page.
7. Disclaimers
SPLIT is a tool. It is not medical advice. Training plans are generated from your synced data + established training methodologies (Jack Daniels VDOT, Pfitzinger / Hanson periodisation), but you are responsible for your own training decisions. Consult a doctor before starting any intense training programme, especially if you have a pre-existing condition.
AI Coach responses are LLM-generated. Treat them as helpful suggestions, not prescriptions. Don't use the tracker while driving. Don't use it as your sole navigation aid in unfamiliar terrain.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPLIT's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees over the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Refunds
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal on premium subscriptions under the Consumer Rights Directive. For purchases made in the app, refunds are handled by Apple — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For web purchases, email [email protected] within 14 days of subscribing.
10. Apple App Store
If you use the SPLIT app from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and us — not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or any claims relating to it (including product-liability, legal, or intellectual-property claims), and to the extent these terms provide any warranty, Apple is not the warranty provider. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo or on a US prohibited-parties list.
11. Service changes
We may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice. Major breaking changes are announced on the home page at least 14 days before they ship.
12. Termination
Either side may terminate: you by deleting your account in Settings, us by giving 30 days notice for any reason. On termination we purge your data within 14 days (see Privacy Policy).
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are heard by the Copenhagen City Court unless consumer protection law requires otherwise in your jurisdiction.
